The data you provide in the website user profile will be included in a database called RTRS Users, and will be used for RTRS activities management purposes, billing, contact and the management of activities related to the users.

Except in fields where expressly otherwise indicated by means of an asterisk (*), the replies to questions regarding to personal data are given on a voluntary basis. The absence of reply to such questions will not imply a decrease of your capacity to access the functionalities of our website. SECURITY MEASURES

RTRS shall comply with all applicable laws on security measures applicable to personal data and information.

RTRS has developed security measures of technical and organizational nature, necessary to ensure the security of your personal data and prevent any change, loss, processing and/or unauthorized access. Notwithstanding the above, considering the nature of the stored data and the risks to which they are exposed, the user must be aware that Internet security measures are not impregnable and not entirely reliable and that RTRS cannot guarantee the absence of virus or other elements which may damage the user’s computer systems (software and hardware) and shall not be held liable in such cases.

RTRS keeps continuous supervision, control and assessment of processes to ensure that privacy of data is respected. We will therefore take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of the information you provide to us.

RTRS shares your personal data with: a) related legal entities, for the purposes outlined above; b) third party service providers processing personal data on our behalf, for example, processing credit cards and payments, data management and maintenance, email distribution, research and analysis, brand management and product promotions as well as administering certain services and features; c) other third parties to the extent necessary to: (i) comply with applicable legal, regulatory or administrative requirements; (ii) prevent illegal uses of our website and applications, or violations of our terms of use and guidelines; (iii) defend ourselves against third party claims; and (iv) assist in fraud prevention or investigation (e.g., counterfeiting); and d) we may also transfer your personal data in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (in case of a reorganization, spin-off, dissolution or liquidation).

RTRS shall periodically destroy the personal information of users collected in its website, when said information is no longer needed for any purpose or cannot be used in accordance to the terms and conditions of this privacy policy.

For your convenience and information, our website and applications contain links to other third parties’ websites and applications, with their own privacy provisions and policies. RIGHTS IN RELATION TO PROFILING AND REMARKETING 

Profiling

We may collect, and our third party providers of advertisements and content may collect, information about where you are on the internet (e.g. the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com), your browser type, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, purchase history, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on, and any search terms that you entered on our website (“User Information”). We may collect this information even if you do not register with us.

You should be aware that this site is being monitored and may capture information about your visit that will help us improve the quality of our service.

We do have relationships with carefully selected and monitored suppliers who may also set cookies during your visit to be used for remarketing purposes, to show you different products and services based on what you appear to be interested in. These companies also use automated technologies to collect information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. 

PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online -for example in message boards, by e-mail or in chat rooms- that information becomes public and can be collected and used by others. You are responsible for keeping your passwords and/or any information of your personal account confidential.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION 

As RTRS is a global association, we have regional offices in Argentina. They transfer, process and store the data hosted in Switzerland in order to provide RTRS services at a more local level. We have data sharing agreements in place with each office.

We use suppliers (such as conference venues) outside Switzerland. This means that the personal information of individuals may be transferred, processed and stored outside of Switzerland (as applicable). We take steps to put in place suitable safeguards to protect your personal information when processed by the supplier such as entering into the European Commission approved standard contractual clauses.

MINORS

As we consider personal data protection to be essential, on the assumption that the user is minor, the consent of the parents or legal guardian will be required to collect personal data of the minor. Parents or legal guardians shall fill in and sign the relevant form and send it by email together with a copy of the parent’s or legal guardian’s ID card toinfo@responsiblesoy.org.

MODIFICATION OF THE PRIVACY POLICY

As our practices are subject to constant change, RTRS reserves the right to modify its privacy policy, pursuant to the applicable legislation. Any modification of the privacy policy will be published before its effective implementation. The use of our website after such changes will constitute acceptance thereof. APPLICABLE LAW

This policy is intended to be in compliance with the applicable privacy laws and regulations of each country in which RTRS operates and from which personally identifiable information is collected.
